Another quarter has passed, and I hope you still enjoyed what you have been reading here. It is really a fun way of sharing my thoughts and the lessons I learned from the media. Many of you may have a different opinion but I hope you still find time to analyze what I posted here.

The main topic that I had, was that in our life, you alone can control whatt will happen so you have to stand up for what you think is right. Blaming others for it is just plain dumb. This also goes with how we can control what kind of media we pay attention to. Some people may find some kind of media amusing but is irritating to others. Showing how we feel about a topic is good, but let us also consider the other people around us.

I really had fun this quarter posting in my media log. I hope you enjoy it too.

STICK IT. Defy and conquer.

Haley Graham is a former gymnast-turned-juvenile delinquent whom, after one too many run-ins with the law, is forced to enroll at an elite gymnastics academy, the VGA in Houston, Texas which is run by the legendary Olympic gymnast Burt Vickerman. But the rebellious Haley is not welcomed into the academy by the other teenage gymnasts whom despise her for walking out on her Junior Olympic team years earlier during a competition which cost them the gold medal. But Haley is not a docile person either and makes every effort to provoke conflicts with the other girls. Vickerman takes it upon himself to coach Haley in his own way to make her regain her self respect for the VGA's coming spot on the Gymnastic Nationals.

Everybody deserves a second chance, and that second chance may not be as good as the original life we are used to. Having a bad reputation on someone really takes time in order for you to make it a better one. You have to work hard and really prove yourself worthy of their trust. No matter how bad you want it, you have to be patient in waiting for it and be open to the new things you have to do. People around us are very judgmental, even if it is a bad thing.

Another thing is that every action we do will always have a consequence may it be good or bad. We have to think about the things that may happen to us before we do anything.

One more thing I loved about the movie is that the gymnasts or actors are great. I always get amazed by how they do the different skills effortlessly. You will see everything that gymnasts do, from trainings to real competitions.

It's not called gym - NICE - tics.

Supersize Me.

Many people blame what they are suffering to others. Little did they know that their own wrongdoing. We are in control of our action and we should take advantage of our will power.

This documentation gives us the awareness on how fast food is bad for us especially when we take in too much of it. It shows how most people do not have control over themselves. They blame others for what they have become due to their over eating. No matter what they say, they should be responsible of their actions. The problem of someone is caused by one’s own mistakes.

God gave us free will; we have the power to control our lives.

One Water.

Baller bands for fund raising really is one of the in things right now and surely, our country adopted this kind of fund raising like the original one in the States. With the collaboration of Goldilocks and Starbucks, we are saving La Mesa Dam by buying these blue baller bands. This is like a bandwagon kind of fund raising because baller bands are the "in" thing right now. When one person starts wearing one, everyone follows. Realizing how this would help our country since in my opinion, we cannot depend on most of our politicians, every 25 pesos we pay for this baller band can really make a difference. A small amount when put together is going to be a big amount that can save the future generations.

Let us all be ONE in saving our WATER.

Oh My Goth.

What would you do if you woke up and the whole world had turned goth? Well that is a little extreme but what if you woke up and your whole school is goth? Not only that what if you were once and outcast and now you are one of the coolest kids in school. That is the premise for the new MTV Books title Oh My Goth by Gena Showalter. Jade is totally not trying to be like anyone else. She marches to the beat of her own drum. She has a reason to be dark and a little different. Her mother died in a car accident—while teaching a then fifteen year old Jade how to drive. By 17, Jade hates school and can’t understand why anyone can understand her for who she is—just a girl trying to find herself in the world. When Jade is sucked into an alternative world where everything is much different she has to depend on others to believe her story.

Learning a lesson while having fun is what books today offer. You will definitely have fun reading this book and surely will not like to put it down.

One of the lessons I learned is that being different and not wanting to ba one of the crowd really is not bad. We know that in every school, there are outcasts that nobody wants no be near to. Yes we also know that these kinds of things makes them feel bad but we stil continue our wrongdoing. What would you feel if you are in their shoes? Of course you will feel bad.

Second is that nothing is really what it seems. Seeing that person dressed up as a "Goth" does not mean that that person is bad. Social status also does not mean anything. We have to know the real attitude and see how that person realtes with you before judging him or her.

God created us all differently and we have to accept it and see the good in our differences.

Tayo'y Magsama-sama

I know our class is really proud of our song entitled "Tayo'y Magsama-sama". We loved the message of the song and we showed class unity in order for us to be successful with our song.

I really like this song because it has a really great message. It tells us that we can achieve many things in life and sometimes, we just have to turn to God for some support and guidance in what we will do. Since in our time, world peace seems to ba quite impossible, we have to do everything as one and have God by our side to achieve it. No matter what happens, God will always find a way to make us feel better. God also has mysterious ways of showing his love for us and sometimes, we just have to wait and see how these will happen.

Faith is all we need.

Post Secret.

I have seen so many sites before, but this site really made me want to visit it every week. The site is called Post Secret. It is where people can share all there secrets and the identity of the person will not be revealed. I really enjoyed reading some of those secrets, but most of the time, I feel sad for those people. They show all the different sides of our lives. The happy ones, the sad ones and even the angry side of life. I really appreciate the person who started this blog. It shows that everyone of us has a problem. Some of us are just really good at hiding all our problems. The bottom line of everything is, we all have to face our problems.
